Yankee Bonds

Foreign bonds that are denominated in dollars and issued in the U.S. by foreign banks and companies.

Year-To-Date (YTD)

The beginning of the calendar year to the current date.

Yield

The percentage rate of return of stock dividends and the percentage rate of return of bond interest.

Yield Curve

A graph that depicts interest rates and time. For example, under normal conditions longer term bonds have higher yields than shorter term bonds that can be plotted on a curve.

Yield Spread

The difference in yield between two securities that have different credit quality.
